Why Stay Home to Make Money?

News reports tell us how many companies have closed recently, who are about to declare bankruptcy, or how many employees have been fired and laid off.

This recession is one of the worst to hit our economies since the Great Depression of the 1930's.

I know how you must feel. It must be depressing to lose your job. I have lost 3 jobs myself in the last 2 years alone. And frankly, I'm getting tired of trying to go back in the rat race.

So instead of succumbing to despair, I do my best to keep this all in perspective. Plus, I know for a fact, that with every crisis comes opportunity. So one has to be prepared to grab an opportunity when it has presented itself.

When I look back at my life I realize how much of it was spent working just to earn money - just to get by and meet my responsibilities. It was never about my passion and purpose.

That's why I have started to look for opportunities elsewhere. This time, I'm determined to look inside and see where my passion lies. And I found my answer. For me, learning has always been a top priority. I look at myself as a perennial student.

And what better way to spend my time than staying home to learn new things and then, teach other people what I've learned so far.

Consider this scenario: You're home. You have everything you need online. Your work is to learn new things and apply them. But in between, you can pee whenever you want to; you can stretch and hop on the stair masters for 5-10 minutes if you feel drowsy;no one will give you a memo if you exceed your 15-minute break; and best of all, you don't need to dress up, put on your 2-inch heels and make up. And you earn more money even when you're asleep or during weekends!

I don't know about you but I wouldn't trade my old life back for the picture above. I know that if I am able to learn all about blogging and how to make money from it, eventually it would pay off.

And I intend to document the process here in my free blog.
